1. The Critical Role of Control Valves in Power Generation
In the power industry—whether fueled by natural gas, coal, or nuclear energy—the water-steam cycle is the lifeline. Selecting control valves in this process is challenging due to extreme temperature and pressure fluctuations leading to flashing, cavitation, and erosion.
2. Boiler Feedwater Valves (Main/Auxiliary & Composite)
Function:Precise control of drum level and steam flow.
Technical Challenges:Startup pressure drops can reach 100-300 kg. Requires a high rangeability of 75:1 to 100:1.
Material Specification:Use WCB/WC9. For internals, 416 Stainless Steel is preferred over 316+Stellite due to potential reactions with hydrazine-treated water.
