Power Plant Control Valve Selection Guide: Critical Solutions for Thermal Power Systems

1. Boiler Feedwater Control Valves (Main & Start-up)

Application: Maintaining precise drum levels and steam evaporation rates.

Operating Conditions: Start-up differential pressures reach 100–300 bar. High rangeability (up to 100:1) is mandatory.

Key Specs: * Materials: WCB or WC9 (Chrome-Moly).

Design: Anti-cavitation trim for start-up; Class V shut-off for energy savings.

Fail Position: Fail-Close (FC).
