T shaped control valve
The 3 Way Control Valve has 3 connections and is usually T shaped. It also has
two switching positions that allow the dividing or mixing or the complete change
of direction of the material flow. For added protection against wear and tear in
severe service environments, 3 Way Control Valves can also fitted with
multi-spline trims as well as low noise trims.
Examples of where a 3 Way
Control Valve would be applied, include the extraction of oil or gas from below
the seabed floor, where the material you wish is to obtain is mixed with sand or
other heavy materials. This operation would simply not be possible via a
standard Control Valve.
