I know selecting the valve material for a specific application is not easy but are there any literature that I can work on? I have Norsok Material Selection doc, api 553 refinery control valves doc which indicates some guideways.
Any further advises will be appreciated.

Easy for casings, use the same as the pipe, work done before by piping engg. Not so easy for the trim, should check media, p, t, etc. Groups: 13-Cr, 3XX-SS, Stellites, Monel, Duplex, and so on-ball valve.
